Sybil Patten is a documentary filmmaker, freelance video producer and educator.
Patten is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s School of Journalism and a member of the filmmaker collective Filmshop.
Currently Patten is producing a documentary about The Community School. In Camden, Maine hundreds of at-risk teenagers graduated from an alternative high school that was co-founded and co-run by Emanuel Pariser and Dora Lievow; this is the story of the alumni who changed their lives at The Community School.

Founding The C-School is a work-in-progress documentary that tells the story of a revolutionary school, its courageous alumni and how a supportive community can change lives.
